Hmm happy new year everyone..

hope it's not tooo late for to wish u that.. x mau ckp pasal new year resolutions coz in my case every year i end up carrying forward my previous year's resolutions.. so xde makne kan

I celebrated new year in Kuching.. tapi demam la pulak so didnt get to do much.. tido dlm hotel room je.. mkn pun order room servis je..

so how did i celebrate the new year? i've been thinking of revamping my image so after balik from Kuching..

i main makeup2 and took self shot.. hehe mmg kurang kasih sayang i nih :)

Whenever i am stressed out
and swamped with piles and piles of work..
I keep telling myself that it's allright to work all out now..
one day when the time is right i would reward myself with a trip to New Zealand again!
I've fallen in love with this beautiful country and hope to go there again someday
when time, budget and my bos permits... hehe

Mimpi sedih

It's the kind of dream i hate the most..
it makes me sad,
it makes me become unstabble emotionally..
no .. i dun miss him., I've moved on with my life
the day i decided to let him go i've deleted his phone number, erased all his emails , shred all his picture ( i keep only 1 picture in case i need to mandrem him).. i dun talk about him anymore.. i dont wait for his late night calls anymore.. i dun long for his wake up calls or surprise sweet mms picture ..
No i let him and everything about him more than a year ago when i decided with a very heavy heart to end our relationship ..
Strange that i dreamnt of him last week and dreamt the same dream again last night.
I hate it that when i got up i couldnt help myself but cried. I cried not because I miss him or still in love with him. I cried because I know he is still thinking about me!

Ish x ilang2 lagi mood bergosip ala2 majalah mangga.. tapi kali nih bukan nak gossip pasal orang tapi nak ceritera pasal baju kawin siapa lagi kalau bukan Memey Suhaiza....

Pelakon drama yang turned from nobody to somebody selepas kontroversi kes khalwat ngan Norman Hakim..

Khabarnya walaupun di kutuk berbakul2 Memey ni murah rezki kalau x takan la Rafflesia nak taja wedding die yang katanya 12 juta tuh..

Yang dress putih for cake cutting nih designed by Rizman Ruzaini... gempak tak cake monochrome diorang? siap ada edible image gambar depa you... malatop!

Yang pink ni I suke sgt coz die mcm ada 3d effek bunga2 all over this baju.. yang ni pun Memey pakai sejurus selepas nikah kat tengaroh... Baju nih designed by Hatta Dolmat.. khabarnya cost baju nih mencecah 12 k! kelas ko maria

Baju ala2 greek princess nih yang Memey pakai masa kat Crowne Mutiara Plaza, Kl ala yang 12 juta tuh.. tapi x sure la baju ni ke yang bakal masuk museum negara tuy... yang paling menarik tgk la sape bride's maid die.. Fathia, Miera Liyana and Julia Ziegler and yang sorang lagi ampun I x dpt cam... tapi semua Hot Chick gitu sure tergugat ko Memey hehe

Hasil pengooglelan juge, I found this very beautiful pre wedding picture.. ehsan Iezla Bridal House..and I personally think dalam banyak2 baju walaupun baju ni bukan ribu riban tapi she looks amazing in modern kebaya nih coz baju ni somehow menyerlahkan keayuan Memey sebagai gadis desa yang jelita. setuju tak?

Ish tetiba je rase nak bergosip x tau la nape.. lepas raye nih setan dah kembali memunculkan dirinya kot hehe

Tadi baca Malaysian Insider kt Yahoo and ada la cite si Mamat sepah yang kononnya telah influence Fidah ( alah minah comel yang belakon syurga cinta ngan Mia Sara tu) to bukak tudung and such.. of course la die deny and according to him die x kesah la Fidah nak pakai tudung ke topi ke tu hak die..

After google punye google then I jumpe la pic ni yang kononnya diaorang dua g cuti2 Batam, pakai baju sedondon lagi..

And from the picture yang i jumpe mmg nampak mcm Fidah x pakai tudung cz mcm nampak rambut tapi x tau la tu wig die ke or selendang jurai2 ke..

Tapi I rase kita janganla mudah hukum orang , coz yang penting hati budi kan.. Usahlah buat cerita kalau x pasti coz tu dah kira fitnah...

Mungkin ada orang dengki ngan couple terhangat Malaya ni and nak buat diorang renggang ... Munhkin ini juga satu peringatan untuk Fidah n Mamat untuk berfikir dahulu sebelum bertindak or think carefully before you upload any personal picture to any social website!

Despite all the gossips yang melanda she has proven that true love conquers all .. lantaq pi la orang nak kata ape kan Faezah.. Jodoh di tangan tuhan.. dah tertulis u and Heykal will be together

well.. traditionally i would buy something for myself.. u may call me weird , bizzare or sewel i dun care ..

but i think i am responsible of making myself happy regardless how people would judge me

eh what should i get for myself ek?

in answering this question it i always consider these three plus 1 'Wh' factors

1. What I really want

(a brand new car/apple macbook/ iphone 4 , ipad 2, vacation, Mac Make up set/ Habib bracelet)

2. What I really need

( err a slimming package? , kitchen fan , dining table, another aircond for the living room)

3. What I can afford

(none of the above)

4. What can people buy for me haha ( ada ker?)

For the past years i've bought for a number of things that i really cherish and enjoy

from a bottle of Calvein Klein Escape perfume i bought when i was Eighteen ( mak ikat pewot tau nak beli time tuh) to designer Handbag, to a endless shopping spree ,to a vacay trip to the apartment that I am currently staying and such..

Macam nak beli jewellery , since i have none after kejadian rompakan a few years ago but i am not sure if it's the best option plus i dun think spending $ on barang kemas is wise.. x tau la kan this is just my humble opinion..

or should i perform istikharah to get the answer?

Found this extremely easy recipe on the net.. mcm nak try la 2nite

Two Minute Microwave Chocolate Cake ( 1 serving)

Ingredient:
1 egg
3 tbs cocoa powder
3 tbs superfine flour
3 tbs vegetable oil
3 tbs fresh milk
3 tbs sugar

Method:
mix all ingredients well in
glazed an ovenproof ramekin /bakeware with butter
pour mixture in the bakeware
set microwave on high
bake the cake for two or three minutes

i missed it last year coz.. tsgt sibuk...
so this year .. when i heard they are going to stage Cuci the Musical again.. I was sooo looking forward to see it..
setelah bersusah payah membook and merebook tiket.. i finally got the chance to see it on the 30th of July 2010.. with my BFF Zil..
hmm.. mmg best sgt... x rugi pegi.. the most entertaining 3 hours of my life!
here are ten reasons that make Cuci The Musical soo meletop!

1. Hans Isaac sgt handsome.. rasa nak kidnap dia and simpan dlm almari then he will be the most handsome skeleton in the closet ever!

2. Good casting.. replacing Ac with Raja Lawak Nabil is a brilliant decision coz i think Nabil is naturally funny .. even when he laughed and forgot his lines we still find in amusing..

3. Interesting Storyline.. the modified plot , adding Jacqueline Victor in the list has definitely spiced up the whole thing... She needs to brush up on the acting skills though.. but as for her singing..wow she is really 1 in a Million!

4. Superb set n prop... the klcc building looks so real.. seram tgk mase hans nak jatuh... rasa nak g tangkap die je time tu hehe

5. Beautiful chareography.. thumbs up for Pat Ibrahim for the smooth and creative dances throughout the play.

Kemas? xde mood nak menjadi bibik ini malam kerana Pink sgt hangin! kalah kumulus nimbus (eh bukan awan ker kwang2)

amarah Pink ini muncul tetibe rentetan dari kunjungan ke kedai mkn nih..

magik giler.. balik mkn je tetibe Pink jadi bussiness analyst hehe..

well people hasil kunjungan tanpa henti ..( well i eat outside for at least 21 times per week)

dapatan saya menunjukkan bahawa punca kbanyakkan kedai orang kite cepat gulung tikar adalah kerana:

1. Kualiti makanan tidak konsisten

cth: adalah satu kedai asam pedas nih.. sebab Pink x mkn sgt asam pedas so Pink makan ler mee bandung .. first impression mmg perh.. dengan telur goyang2, dengan sotong sebesar Paul, daging tetel yang selonggok, udang2 segar yang sgt mengancam & sayur sawi hijau dan segar yang Pink rase boleh wat penanaman semula if x abis mkn hehe mee yang bole mkn dua orang.. kuah yang cukup pekat, masin , masam dan manisnya ( eh mcm nano2 la pulak) .. mmg teranngkat.. kalau Brad pit lalu kt belakang pun sure x nampak.. syok habis!

i ended up spending that evening telling everyone about the marvellous mee bandung.. for me it's not easy to find mee bandung muar yang kaw2 outside johor...

so hasil promosiku yang robust , after postponing a few times , after about a month.. I went back to the shop with my sister and the whole clan yg x sabar2 nak try mee bandung itew..

demi terhidang mee itu jiwa Pink bergelora.. eh salah order ker..

Pink siap panggil itu waiter and tanya ni mee bandung ke? die kata ye le..

mak datuk.. sgt jauh panggang dr punggung...

tiada lagi Paul .. maybe dah pindah spain.. udang? adala 2 ekor.. tu pun mcm besa sikit je dr udang geragau...

sayur? adala kobis sehelai due..

daging? puas aku selak mee.. x nampak pung..

xtau la kot2 die dah menyerap didalam mee itu..

telur? nasib ada dan masih bergoyangan..

kuah? this is the most dissapointing part.. coz for me if kuah power xde yg lain2 pun xpe..

mmg kecewa sgt.. dahla harga naik seringgit... baik beli mee ruzki perasa mee bandung waaay better..! non of us bejaya menghabiskan mee itu..

mcm nak tanye je kalau pulang balik mee yang x abs tu bole refund x? hehe

kambing goreng belacan... air chocolate tiga rasa.. nasi goreng talipon.. mixed grill, steamed abalon with black bean, udang galah berempah campur telur masin.. kailan ikan masin dari laut dalam..

pendek kata ngalahkan menu buffet kt five star hotel serba serbi ada..

Waiter : maaf cik menu tu dah lama xde

Dlm hati Pink : xde kalu ko goreng le nasi dgn handphone ko le mangkuk

Pink : oklah saya nak order udang galah...

Waiter : cik udang xde stok arini diaorang x g laut.. minyak tumpah bla.. bla bla..

Dlm hati Pink : eh sejak bile prihatn pasal minyak tumpah ni? mcm x leh pancing udang dlm kolah..

Pink : kalau mcm tu saya nak order air chocolate je la

Waiter : cik milo je kitaorang ada..

Dlm hati Pink :elo brader.. umah nenek Pink pun ada milo tau

jadi apakah motif meletak segala menu yang indah2 kalau sume xde? haruskah Pink blacklist kedai ini juga?

so i decided to make all my worries go away for at least ten minutes..

nak g tgk alice in wonderland 3d tapi dari midvalley sampai OU sume sold out..

so.. finally my best fren aka cik seri siantan bought me ticket to watch teater " Seri Mersing"

memule pegi mcm malas2 .. coz i rase sure bosan macam cipan...

but dari mule pementasan hingga ke ending.. sgt best ok.. excellent script , fantastic casts, wonderful props.. it's sooo perfect and deserve 5 star rating !

Apple& Cherry pie with oat crumble...

Hope it's not too late for me to wish everyone Gong Xi Fa Chai.. err.. i think i was possessed by CNY spirit last weekend coz out of the blue my cooking mood yang dah lama terpadam tetibe muncul haha.. last sunday ,suddenly i craved for Awana Genting's Apple crumble pie.... since i wasnt feeling well ( demam urat) i decided not to go to Awana but tried to make my own pie... nerves siot buat cucur pun x penah tetibe buat apple crumble lak.. haha .. after googling the recipe i decided to combine Jamie Oliver's topping with Nigella's filling and zuraini's cheese tart base hehe.. hantam je..



ok ni recipenye

Apple Cherry Pie with Oat crumble

( for 6 inch tray- kecik je)

a. Base

10 pieces chocolate flavoured biskut marrie

2 pieces oreo biscuit ( buang krim die)

3 sudu mkn melted butter

- hancurkan, tekan and padatkan kat tray.

refrigerate while u prepare the filling and topping

b. Filling

3 medium size granny smith apples - peeled, cored and thinly sliced

50 gram sugar ( i used brown sugar)

3/4 teaspoon cinnamon/ nutmeg powder

1 spoonfull water

2-3 spoonfull corn starch / flour

50 gram Red cherries

-Put the apples in to a pan with the sugar ,water and cinnamon powder.

add flour/starch to thicken it.

Cook over a low heat for 5 minutes and place in a small oven proof dish.

add red cherries just before u switch it off..

let it cool for a while

c. Topping

35g rolled oats/ instant oat pun bole

35g flour

20g caster sugar

35g margarine or butter

30 gram almond flakes (toasted)

-Place the flour and oats in a bowl and mix well. Cut the margarine or butter in to small cubes and add this to the oats and flour. Mix with your fingertips until it resembles an even crumb texture. Add the sugar and mix through.Add almond flakes

Methods:

1.Preheat the oven to 190°C

2.Pour the filling ontop of the base.

3.Cover the fruit with the crumble mixture.

4.Bake for approximately 25- 30 minutes until the crumble is golden and the apple hot.

5. serve with vanilla sauce or vanilla ice-cream

note the seductive red cherries in the pie.. lovely!

p/s: i did use all the crumble coz i used small tray, i perhaps it is meant for 9 inch tray. i did not serve it with ice cream or vanilla sauce , i just sprinkle brown sugar to make it taste more interesting :)

My 1st Makyung Experience..

Berpeluang menyaksikan persembahan mak yung adalah satu pengalaman baru buat saya..

When Jil called me up last week and asked me to accompany her and her rombongan SEMASHUR ke Istana Budaya I was quite reluctant and took quite sometimes to make up my mind..

Not that i dont enjoy seeing a play n such but because i am well aware of the fact that Mak Yung is 100% delivered in kelantanese dialect.. being a pure Johorean , of course i find that dialect quite alien for me.. (err plus i x pernah ada any Kelate Boipren to expose me to the dialect..)

the only reason why i didnt feel like going at first is because i am afraid i might find myself somehow "lost in translation" during the show.... But Jil is really good at finding a way to make me agree she promised to belanja me makan.. so apa lagi rezeki mane bole tolak hehe..

So I went.. and when the Mak yung started I was worried coz I couldnt understand a word sang by Raja Besar... I read the translation displayed but still couldt make sense of whatever the king was singing.. hmm..

I was just about to leave the Pangung Sari when suddenly I started to be interested upon hearing Sabri Yunos's voice.. being a natural stand up comedian , to me, he had succeeded in making the whole play lively and really worth watching...

His dialogues , actions and expression r very funny and made the whole panggung laughed!

Mak Yung Anak Raja 2 serupa would be lifeless without talented cast like Sabri and Juhara Ayub.... the plot is simple but the costume and background music is really excellent in making the play more interesting..

Hmm so it's true that artwork should be appreciated accross culture , language and nationality..

and of course i dun mind going for another Mak Yung show in the future

Natrah oh Natrah!

Zil, 'Natrah' and I

The sad story of Natrah @ Nadrah or Maria Huberdina Hertogh is indeed a very sad one..

I have heard her story since i was young and it has been retold soo many times especially by my late grandfather . He was in Singapore when the Natrah's riot broke in 1950 and witnessed everything that happened. Whenever he told me the story he had always failed to hide his sadness to me.. I did understand why back then.. I just pretended to be interested to his story because I love to accompany him to visit his favourite mamak 's place and got to eat my favourite mee rebus... very sedap 1!

so when i heard that Erma and Istana Budaya were going to stage "Natrah' I did not missed the chance and booked the tix a.s.a.p.. and I angkut my BFF , Zil to see the play so in case if i dont like it i have someone to gosip2 with..haha.. Oh bukan susah to convince Zil to come with me coz she happens to be a big fan of Remy Ishak ( ala mamat dalam Nur Kasih tu )..

So on the 3rd Dec 2009 I wore my best dress and went to Istana Budaya to see 'Natrah in person' .. (to be continued.. )

One fine sunday morning , me and my officemate Mek Sal telah mengagahkan diri utk menghadiri kelas cupcakes decor n fancy cookies..

ler.. rupe2nye Loveliana tu dekat je ngan umah aku bout 5 mins jer..

if i knew it earlier i would have been able to open a bakery by now ler gamaknye hehehe

Riang Ria Cornflakes

my cornflakes.. meriah tak? tunggu turn nak masuk oven

owh this is another favourite raya cookies of mine...

I've never made it without my sister's supervision..

but since i have all the ingredients needed .. i pun mencuba nasib ler.. read all the doa n felt nervous about making it coz x penah buat sendiri.. normally i'll prepare it with my sister

ok i'd like to share my recipe here.. feel free to try and adjust to yr liking k..

all my 125 pieces cornflakes..

Honey cornflakes with nuts

ingredients

i box of cornflakes ( about 300-350 gram)

200 gram butter

1 cup honey ( if the honey is too sweet.. reduce it)

5 tbs ( or 1/2 cup) coarse sugar

50 gram cashew nut ( roastd)

50 gram almond flake (roasted)

50 gram red cherry / chocolate rice - for deco purposes

papercups- use the black one

( if u use the white /fancy one nanti gula lekat kt dasar cup)

methods

Melt the butter in your pan with a slow fire.

Then add sugar, if u like it sweeter, add more sugar.

Stir it until it boils then add honey and stir it again for 5 minutes.

Put aside the pan and add the cornflakes and the nuts and mixed all well

spoon the cornflakes mixture in the papercup

deco with red cherry or choc rice

( i use both) and bake for 10 -15 mins

happy trying!

tadaa.. ready to munched..

hmm .. fast to cook yummy to eat!

My Chocolate chips cookies attempt

chocolate chips cookies hot from the oven.. melt in your mouth not in your hand :)

I think i've been posessed by the Raya Spirit coz out of sudden i'm in buat kuih raya mood haha

err.. havent done so for at least 5 years..

so last nite i picked up my courage to start on buat kuih raya mission and tried my best to make

my bro's favourite chocolate chips cookies.

Chocolate Chips Cookies

adapted from : Children Party Cookies and Cakes Cookbook

Ingredient

1 egg

1/2 cup butter or (115 gram)

1/2 cup brown sugar

11/2 cup self raising flour

1 cup choc chips

1 cup walnut /almond/pecan /hazelnut

1tbs vanilla essence

a pinch of salt ( optional)

Method

preheat the oven

Beat butter + sugar till fluffy

in a different bowl beat egg plus vanilla essence till frothy

add egg and vanila in the butter mixture

add in flour, choc chips and nuts of your choice

mix all the ingredient together

scoop the cookies mixture and drop in on the baking tray

bake for 10-15 mins or till it turns slightly brown

good luck!

tadaa.. the end product.. it might look like cengkodok but it tastes better than famous amos!

2. Murtabak Daging plus Kentang - My late Mak prepared the most delicious murtabak daging n kentang.. it tastes better than Murtabak Arab Street u knw! My late mak always served it with her signature Kari Telur.. hmm soo mouth watering..

3. Karipap Sadin- Thank God I manage to find one stall in Putrajaya Ramadhan Bazaar which sells the nicest Curry puff Sadin for only 50cent each..

4. Buah Melaka - easy to prepare n delicious to eat! or so i was told err not that i know how to prepare it hehe

5. Puteri Mandi - er someone told me that it is also known as Badak Berendam .. but i prefer to refer to it as Puteri Mandi.. sounds Sexier hehe

6. Char keow Teow Penang- Nothing compares to the real Penang Char keow teow plus Kerang... Peh.. Brad Pitt lalu belakang pun x heran :)

7.Caramel Puding - I started the craving for this pudding almost 13 years ago when i did my preparatory in Intec Shah Alam.. There was this very good looking Pakcik selling nothing but Caramel Pudding.. I swear to God he is waaay sizzling than the pudding.. but of course he's not for sale.. too bad.. hmm

8. Laksa Penang - ohhh if the taste is rite i can really eat bowl after bowl of Laksa Asam.. lucky Lemon Grass's version of Laksa Asam is at par with the one sold in Penang.

9. Ketam masak lomak cili Api- another favourite of mine.. but i always request for the less hot version... i have very low pedas tolerant ...

10. Assam Pedas Tulang - my family always serve this with salted egg.. sodap! nothing compares to my mom's assam pedas.. now she's no longer around... no one can cook it the way she did.. hmm too bad

ok guys.. gtg.. need to go to Baza Ramadhan and grab something for Berbuka.. or i'll end up eating Maagi.. Chiao
